OK expedition to Mongolia – JT800OK

OK expedition to Mongolia - JT800OK. This expedition should take place on the basis of the proceedings of the international conference, which took place in 2005 in Prague ( 50years since the establishment of mutual diplomatic relations) and should further follow up on the celebrations of the 800-year anniversary of the founding of the unified Mongolian state in 2006.

This is a traveling expedition following the traces of the participation of Czechoslovak experts in various regions of Mongolia, where they participated in its economic development. Amateur radio connections will be established from these locations , for which the so-called. QSL tickets, which are postcards confirming these connections made. During the monthly operation, we expect the expedition, that at least 20,000 connections will be established, and therefore about economic ones, as well as cultural contacts, people on all continents will be informed. We are currently cooperating with the Mongolian amateur radio organization í and the Embassy of Mongolia in the Czech Republic, who were helpful in obtaining a license with the special call sign JT800OK, which would underline the importance of this anniversary.

Overall, the expedition will participate 4 radiologists from the Czech Republic, from this number, two will be from southern Bohemia, namely Josef Mikšátko and Zdeněk Malkovský from Dráchov. Possible entrances to Radio Faktor are also planned in the expedition program, so that the listening public can be informed about the progress and partial results of this expedition. The expedition departs from Prague 7. September and will stay in Mongolia 1 Moon. After its completion, based on the processed background materials, it will inform about its overall result.

8.in September, the members of the expedition actually arrived in Ulaanbaatar, where Naran JT1BV, also with a license, was waiting for them. Zdeňek OK1CCK, Josef OK1ES, Milan OK1FM and Josef OK1XC established their first connections the very next day.
