Operational VHF / VHF assets – October 2005

The competition evaluation prepared by Laco OM1ZL on October 25, 2005 is in the categories SO-144, SO-432, SO-1296 and MO-144. The contestants tried to maximize the number QSO, points and multipliers, which translated into final results that clearly reflect their technical readiness, antenna equipment and operational endurance.

In the most numerous category SO-144, significant results were achieved by OM1DI with 111 QSOs and 13,079 points, followed by OM4ADR and OM3MWA. The high number of QSOs and varied multipliers indicate active operation across various locators and a stable level of VHF connections. The SO-432 category was dominated by OM3CQF, who was able to use his technical capabilities for 36 QSOs with a result of 1,368 points. On the 1296 MHz band, which requires even more precision and experience, OM2TW placed best with 15 QSOs and 315 points. In MO-144 mode, OM3RAL recorded a solid performance with 37 QSOs and 1,651 points, thus confirming its active participation in the satellite bands as well.

The overall results of the October activities provide not only an overview of the current activity of Slovak radio amateurs, but also inspiration for future competitors. They clearly show that regular operation and systematic preparation bring the best results in VKV/UKV competitions.
