April round of operational competition at VHF and UKV again brought a good dose of tension and competitive spirit. Operators from different parts of the country stood behind their stations with a clear goal - to maximize the number of points and show their skills in both CW and SSB operation. It was already clear from the first connections that the fight for victory will be fought until the last minute.
In the SO-144 category, OM1DI did best, which with 95 QSO and with 26 multipliers he reached an impressive 9646 points. He was followed by OM3CQF and OM4TC, with the differences between them minimal and the competition exciting from start to finish. The successes in the smaller categories SO-432 and SO-1296 confirmed the skill and precision of the operators, who were able to use even less traditional bands.
The April round also showed the strength of experienced operators and space for newcomers who were not afraid to apply for leading positions. This round also confirmed that speed, strategy and accuracy determine the results and every connection counts. The results were evaluated by Laco, OM1ZL, and they confirmed once again that VHF/VHF competitions are a place where enthusiasm, technique and sportsmanship meet.
