Anyone who has tried racing with QRP will surely confirm that it requires much more patience, experience and vice versa QRO also another approach. Most of the connections are Search-and-pounce system, it is only possible to go to the challenge with a very good antenna and from an excellent QTH.
Competition in QRP thus brings a different dimension and a much greater challenge. That's why the portal CQ.sk organizes QRP low power races every year in August VHF. In parallel, other races take place on the band, so there is no shortage of stations. If the weather permits, it is possible with QRP equipment to climb excellent heights that are occupied during other races. How did the competitors do on August 7, 2017?
It's TOP 10 again QSO over 600 km. OM2DT (with IZ5ILA) can boast the longest connection in the race at a distance of 786 km. Dušan tried, which paid off, because he managed to reach 2nd place behind Drah OM3CQF. 15470 points were enough for Peta, OM3PA, to take 3rd place.
