These conditions apply from April 22, 2013 for the Easter races (hereinafter the main races) and the Easter children's races (hereinafter the children's races), announced by the Radio Club Tanvald.
The races are always held every Easter Sunday, from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM UTC the main races, which follow from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM UTC Easter children's races. In 2026 it falls on April 5.
Connections with non-competitive stations are also valid, but they are required to submit the entire competition code including the serial number.

SO (SINGLE OP) – station operated by an individual without any outside assistance during the contest. Outside assistance during the contest means the operator's own handling of the transmitting and receiving equipment, directing antennas, keeping a log and overview of stations worked, operating equipment for access to the PR network. MO (MULTI OP) – other stations.

Types of operation: CW and phone according to licensing conditions, while it is necessary to adhere to the recommendations of Region I. IARU for various types of operation in the frequency bands of amateur radio.
All station equipment must be located within an area with a maximum diameter of 500 meters. The station's location must not change during the contest.
Use of DX Cluster and so on. is not limited.
At any given moment, each station may have only one band one signal, where signals necessary for connection to the packet radio network are not considered.
More stations may transmit from one location, depending on the agreement between them.
The output power of the transmitter's final stage must comply with the licensing conditions unless otherwise specified by the competition rules. For children's competitions, it applies max. power 10 watts.
Connections EME, cross-band and through terrestrial or space relays are not counted in the competition.
Only one valid connection can be counted with each station in the competition on each contest band, during which a complete contest code was exchanged and confirmed by both stations. Repeated connections must be marked in the log (RPT, DUPE, etc.) with a point value of 0.

Competition code consists of RS or RSTconnection number and WW-locator. The connection number must start with the number 001 on each band. The complete code including the connection number from 001 is also submitted by non-competing stations that do not wish to be evaluated. Three zeros - 000 - are not a valid connection number and the connection will be marked as invalid by the evaluator. Stations that do not wish to be evaluated are not required to send a log!
Scoring: For every kilometer of distance covered between both stations, one point is counted. The point value of the connection in the competition log must be stated as a whole number. For a connection in the same WW-locator, 1 point is counted. According to the recommendation of the I. Region of IARU, a coefficient of 111.2 should be used to convert degrees to kilometers, taking into account the curvature of the Earth. The WGS-84 (World Geodetic System 1984) system is used to determine the latitude and longitude of the competition station for locator calculation.
Competition log can only be sent to the evaluator in electronic form. The electronic log must be in EDI format (REG1TEST), designated as the standard format for evaluating races within Region I. IARU. Logs in other formats will not be accepted and the station will not be rated in the competition. The log must be submitted separately for each competition band. The log from the competition must be sent to the evaluator's address no later than the tenth day after the competition ends.
The connection is invalid if the station in the log has:
-
any error in the received code, i.e., in the call sign, report, connection number or locator,
-
if the difference in connection time is greater than 10 minutes compared to the correct UTC time.
For repeated and counted connections, the controlled station will lose ten times the point value of the counted repeated connection.
The station will not be rated in the competition:
-
for failing to comply with competition or licensing conditions,
-
for more than 10% incorrectly calculated distances,
-
for false or incorrectdata provided in the competition log,
-
for unsportsmanlike behavior in the competition.
Prizes:
Main competition:
-
Big Easter egg – for a record number of points, understood as the sum from all bands in which the station competed.
-
Little Easter Egg:
-
for the first three places in the categories SO and MO, if at least 15 stations are rated in the given categoryrated at least 15 stations
-
for thefirst place, if at least 5 stations are rated in the given categoryrated at least 5 stations
-
for the best foreign station operating outside the territory of OK
-
for the best NOVICE station. It is necessary to enter NOVICE in the electronic log in the [Remarks] field.
-
Children's race:
-
Small Easter egg – for the first three places in the absolute ranking, after summing points from all bands in which the station competed. In these races, only operators who are not yet 18 years old on the day of the race will be rated. It is necessary to enter the date of birth of the operators in the electronic log in the [Remarks] field.
The decision of the evaluator is final.
Send logs only via: Webinterface at the address http://ok1kkt.cz in the section Easter race – Send logThe station that is not listed in the preliminary evaluation on the pages ok1kkt.cz will not be rated in theraces. In case of problems, contact the leading operator at ok1miq@volny.cz.
