Prvé kolo OL Party Kvízu, ktorý predchádza OL Party Contestu 27.9.2003, prebehlo pomerne dramaticky.
At first it looked like the turnout would be zero. But it only took a few well-targeted emails and text messages to show that there was interest, even though readers CQ.SK didn't believe too much in this competition. In the end, at least three hams, all ex-OLs, guessed that the figure on the far right in last week's photo is Radek, ex OL2VAH (sorry, not sure of the current brand, oh the sclerosis). God, ex OL2BIL, OK1FJW, who is on the far left in the photo, recognized only one of the organizers of the OL Party, and he, unfortunately, is not entitled to win.
Correctly answered: Herbert AF4JF/0 (OK1QW, ex OL3AXZ), Standa YB0AJR (OK1JR, ex OL4BET, ex OL4VBB) and Lenka (OK1PLU? ex OL6BDJ).
Herbert praised the potential main prize with the following words: "Hey mate, but when I can't even feel Becherovka..."
With that in mind, we figured we'd simplify the situation by respecting Herbert's preferences and awarding the win to Stand, who we'd invite to take over personally. And if he hadn't picked up the prize by pure chance, we'd drink it to his health.
But the morning batch of mail showed that at the last moment, before midnight on Sunday, Lenka called, who so unexpectedly interfered with our plans. Nothing could be done, it was necessary to draw lots. The winner was drawn by Kristina, XYL OK1FOU.
Given the number of remaining contestants, she tossed ten crowns and... the winner is Lenka Chalupská, ex OL6BDJ
Since Lenka does not live in any tramtaria, the winnings from the first round will be sent to her by post or handed over in person on a suitable occasion.
(Unfortunately, Becherovka cannot be sent by e-mail, as claimed by Tomáš, OK1DXD).
This week's photo probably dates from the first half of the 1970s. Since it turned out to be too difficult to remember the old OL brands, it will be enough if you correctly identify at least one of the operators of an interesting tube design in any way. The winner of the main prize will be drawn from the contestants who identify the most people correctly. This round closes again on Sunday at midnight (your local time, HI).
