Seventh stage SLP Contestu 2009, which took place on 26-27 September, again brought exciting fights between the most active SWL operators. After the summer break, the traditional favorites returned to the airwaves and it was immediately clear that they are definitely not lacking in form. The most successful to Vladimir (R3A-847), who confirmed his position as the leader of the competition - he collected in the seventh stage 26,760 points, thereby consolidating his lead in the overall ranking.
He finished in second place Joseph (OM3-0001) with a profit 16,770 points, which is his best result in the last three stages. Jozef thus came close to the first place again and in the overall standings he had already crossed the line 96,000 points. The third place in this stage belonged to Gosse (NL13181), which you credited to your account 4,600 points. Although the differences between the top three are significant, every point improvement is very important in the last part of the season.
The overall order after seven stages shows the clear dominance of Vladimir (R3A-847), who with the sum 184,488 points leads with a significant lead. His consistent performance throughout the season, including strong results in stages three, five and seven, ranks him among the most consistent participants in the competition's history.
In second place is Jozef (OM3-0001) with the total number 96,166 points – the gap to the leader is considerable, but nothing is lost with two remaining stages. The third remains Bill (W1-7897), which maintains a stable position with a sum of 71 182 points, even though he did not score in the seventh stage.
He worked his way into the top five Gosse (NL13181) with a grand total 37,905 points, improving especially in the second half of the season. They follow him Hans (NL7403) with 31,231 points and Johan (NL9723) with 27,697 points. He is right behind them Paul (ONL3058), which holds a solid place in the top eight.
Overall, the 2009 season is proving to be one of the most balanced in recent years - even though Vladimir has the edge, second through fifth place is still open. The end of the year promises a dramatic finale.
