The year of Ignace Lukasiewicz

The 150th anniversary of the lighting of the first oil lamp in the Lviv hospital on July 31, 1853, constructed by I.Lukasiewicz, is commemorated by our northern neighbors with the following events: a diploma (July 26 - August 3), races on VHF (July 23) and races at the KV (July 31).

In addition, there will be occasional stations on the bands

Conditions of the diploma "Year of Ignace Lukasiewicz"

• The diploma is issued by the Subcarpathian department of the PZK.
• The goal is to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the lighting of the oil lamp on July 31, 1953 in the Lviv hospital on Lyczakowská street.

• The diploma is issued to stations that obtain the required number of points - 150 points for SP stations, 100 points for EU stations or 70 for DX stations in the period from July 26 to August 3, 2003. The condition is connection with at least one occasional station.
• Scoring of connections: 20 points for a connection with an occasional station, 10 points for a connection with a station that is a member of the Subcarpathian Section (OP), 10 points for a connection with a station that is a member of the Lviv KV Club (LKK).
• Connections on each KV band are counted.
• Fee: 10 zlotys (in postage stamps), or 3 IRC. Members of OP PZK and LKK will receive a diploma for free if they establish at least 50 connections during this period. The list of OP PZK and LKK members was published in QTC and can also be found at www.ot5.CQ.

VKV race conditions, XIX. competition for a miniature lamp by I.Lukasiewicz

• The organizer of the race is the Subcarpathian section of PZK.
• The aim is to commemorate the founder of the oil industry, Ignace Lukasiewicz.
• Date: August 23, 2003 from 13.00 to 22.00 UTC
• Band and mode: 2 m, SSB and FM. Connections through converters are also included.
• RS and locator are exchanged (OP and LKK stations are also counted in the diploma)
• Scoring: direct QSO with an OP or LKK station 1 point for 1 km bridged as the crow flies, for a QSO through a transmitter a flat rate of 10 points regardless of the bridged distance. In addition, 5 points are added for each QSO with a member of OP and LKK and 4 points with a participant of previous years, for connections with stations from the districts: BR, GO, JS, KN, KS, LS, SA and UD 1 point. The multipliers are the districts: BR, GO, JS, KN, KS, LS, UD and LKK. The final score is obtained by multiplying the achieved points and multipliers.
• Please send the diaries with calculated points by the end of September to the address: Oddzial Podkarpacki PZK, skr. mail 48, Jaslo, POLAND, or by e-mail to the address zavoidery@cq.pl.
• Prizes: 1st place – lamp replica (miniature), 2nd and 3rd place souvenirs. Stations in 1st to 5th place will receive diplomas.

Conditions of the KV race, XIX. competition for a miniature lamp by I.Lukasiewicz

• The organizer of the race is the Subcarpathian section of PZK.
• The aim is to commemorate the founder of the oil industry, Ignace Lukasiewicz. Individual stations, club stations, etc. can participate SWL.
• Deadline: August 30, 2003 from 12:00 UTC to August 31, 2003 8:00 UTC
• Bands and modes: 3.5 and 7 MHz, SSB. RTTY from 12.00 to 14.00 UTC (different scoring).
• Challenge: on SSB – challenge to the race, on RTTY – CQ SP Test.
• Reports: RS or RST and district abbreviation. The organizer's station also indicates the number of points. Foreign stations only RS or RST.
• Scoring: points are counted only once, regardless of band or QTH.
  

  QSO with an occasional station from the diesel museum in Bóbrka	10 points
  QSO with OP PZK member from QTH, where the oil industry is located	5 points

  QSO with a participant from previous years	4 points

• Districts BR, GO, JS, KN, KS, LS, SA, UD and LKK are also counted as multipliers. The resulting score is a multiple of the achieved points and multipliers. In the SWL diary, the station giving points can only appear once, it is required to write down the brands and sold reports of both stations.

• Prizes: SSB category, 1st place – lamp replica. RTTY category, 1st place - lamp replica (miniature), SWL category, 1st place - the same. Second and third stations in all categories will receive souvenirs. In all categories, stations in the first to fifth stations will receive a diploma.
• Scoring of the organizer's stations: according to the number of connections. However, connections between OP and LKK members are not counted. Prizes for OP PZK and LKK stations: both SSB and RTTY category, 1st place – lamp replica (miniature). Stations in first to fifth place in each category will receive a diploma.
