Another, very interesting, amateur satellite is about to be launched. I have good news for amateur satellite fans – ARISSat-1/RadioSkaf V has successfully passed vibration tests and will be transported to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in January, where it will be connected to Progress 41P. The launch of the Progress module to the ISS is scheduled for the end of January 2011.

After delivery to the ISS, the ascent to free space is scheduled for February 21, 2011, during which the ARISSat-1 satellite is to be launched.
ARISSat is equipped with interesting transponders and therefore promises extraordinary operating experiences.
