Meteor scatter (MS) operation has recently become very popular with VHF HAMs. Boom nastal s WSJT, but many stations work HSCW or SSB, especially during the peak of meteor showers. In a few days we can expect a very good meteor shower – GEMINIDY (GEM).
They are also suitable for beginning stations that do not have high-end equipment, preferably after agreeing on a schedule via the Internet, packet radio or otherwise. With a little patience, it is possible to find many stations even on random frequencies.

The swarm will be active from December 6 to 19, with a predicted maximum Friday night into Saturday 13. and December 14. More accurate estimates will be published on the official World Cup website in the coming days.
