The historical radio club was founded on September 27, 1990 in Zlín with the participation of the founders PhDr. František Peřina from Zlín, Petr Fridrich from Říčany and Ivan Marko from Pardubice. The magazine Radiojournal began to be published two years earlier. Many of the first members of HRČS had known each other before, for example from the Circle of Friends of the Technical Museum in Brno. In HRČS, mainly collectors of historical radio receivers are associated, but also interested parties from related areas. HRČS publishes the club magazine Radiojournal for its members, which is published four times a year. The club organizes three times a year national gatherings of collectors associated with the auction of historic radio receivers and other artefacts related to this field and owns a building in which the club's collection is stored.

How to become a member of HRČS?

The amount of membership fees is listed below in the information for HRČS members. Pay membership fees only after assigning a membership number!!! For organizations, the contribution is the same, to abroad according to the special postal tariff. If you subscribe during the year, together with the new issue of the magazine, you will also receive the already published issues of Radiojournal for the paid membership year.

Club collection of Czechoslovak radio engineering
In 1996, a collection of Czechoslovak works was established at HRČS. of radio technology, focused primarily on the company TESLA. Its task and goal is to preserve for future generations as much as possible from the era of the national company Tesla, especially in the field of consumer electronics. Club members collected many hundreds of low-current products, including measuring equipment, which were stored in the premises of the broadcasting station in Poděbrady from the end of August 1999 to May 2003 thanks to the willingness of the management of Czech Radiocommunications.
In the future, it was planned to set up an exhibition of these devices directly on the transmitter and make them available to the public, but this laudable idea was canceled due to a change in the plans of the Czech Republic, and the devices are now stored in the new club building. If you own a device with the Tesla brand (or another Czechoslovak manufacturer) and you want to get rid of it, the best way to get rid of it is to offer it to the manager of the collection, Peter Svoboda. HRČS thanks you in advance.
