Maybe many of you already know this program, or even used it to prepare for exams sometime in the past years. Even though this program is one of the older ones, its advantage is localization to our language conditions. This description refers to the DOS version, as it is the only program of its kind with minimal HW requirements. This can be an advantage if only an older non-Windows PC is available (in children's circles, old laptops, etc.)

Installation consists of extracting files from a compressed archive to a hard disk or floppy disk. The occupied space is only 64 kilobytes. I studied with the program for exams on a 386 laptop with VGA, and during the entire period of use, there were no problems in DOS even after running in the Win 3.11 window.
After starting, you will be greeted by the main screen of the program, in which you can select the topic of the test: Q-codes, abbreviations or prefixes for classes D, C and B. Keyboard control is very simple and is limited to a few mostly numeric keys.

The test takes the form of a question with three possible answers, one of which is correct. If the answerer is not sure, he can ask for a hint or change the question. In the case of a correct answer, another question follows, in the case of an incorrect one, the message "Correct answer" still appears on the screen, but the program already asks another question. The number of remaining, correctly and incorrectly answered test questions is at the bottom of the screen.
After running out of questions or interruption, a percentage evaluation of success and a list of the most common mistakes will still appear. From them, a list of questions is created, which can be corrected during the "repair".

In my opinion, the enormous variability of the program is an underappreciated advantage. Only a more experienced computer user can do this, as it involves manually overwriting the configuration file. In addition, the user can create his own test, which may have nothing to do with amateur radio (multiplication, languages, etc.).
The control and functionality of the program is very good. In more extensive tests (e.g. 250 questions), I already had difficulty tapping the correct keys. The formulations are relatively good, if they do not suit someone, they can reformulate them. I can only express satisfaction with Test OK1DUO.
You can find the OK1DUO test in the "Download" section CQ.sk.
