AO-109 (Fox-1E, RadFxSat-2) is an American 1U type amateur radio CubeSat developed by AMSAT together with Vanderbilt University. It was launched on January 17, 2021 as part of the LauncherOne mission.
Satellite AO-109 has been released for radio amateur use! The linear transponder has an uplink on 145.860 MHz - 145.890 MHz and a downlink on 435.760 MHz - 435.790 MHz. The beacon should work on 435.750 MHz, while its main task was to test the effect of radiation on electronic components and support amateur satellite connections.
However, the AMSAT team points out that the satellite does not work without problems, so it is more appropriate to use it for CW and connections FT4 a mode like SSB, where contacts are at least difficult.
