Although it is obvious, that this question is rather philosophical, so it makes sense to deal with it. Amateur radio is evolving. From a technical point of view, it has increased SDR or remote station, there were changes in the permit conditions, mobile phones and the Internet are the norm, and the demographics of radio amateurs are changing. Try to find your own thing in an amateur hobby and think about it too, what you bring to yourself and future generations.
