ARES intervened

On 31.7.-2.8.2008, a group of radio amateurs from the Košice and Prešov self-governing regions successfully ensured a replacement radio connection between the municipalities of Livov and Livovská Huta, where, as a result of the floods at the end of July this year, there was significant damage to the roads in the affected area as well as damage to communication lines, as a result of which the telephone connection between these municipalities was interrupted for a long time.
