The ČAV website is up and running again, although not yet 100 percent. There is an explanation at http://www.c-a-v.com/news.php:
"After the hacker attack on Panacom's servers, our website is recovering slowly, definitely slower than we would like. The reason is mainly that no one has taken proper care of it since the beginning of 2007. Now it is necessary to reconstruct practically the entire website and ensure its adequate security. The mistake was that we chose a non-standard character set at the beginning windows-1250, which is no longer supported by newer versions of the editorial system - they already require standard encoding UTF-8. At the same time, the recoding revealed a number of other shortcomings that will need to be eliminated. Currently, the system should be fine, however, many articles do not display images and appear to have broken links.

Therefore, we ask our readers for a moment of patience. In addition to the main administrator, their original author also works on the reconstruction of the pages (OK1RR) a Ing. Soldier from Panacom. However, the web is very extensive and it will be necessary to check and possibly correct not only all articles, but also the databases that are part of them. At the same time, the pages will be supplemented with some new functions and not only the search, but also the visibility for Internet search engines will be improved. However, the reconstruction will require time in the order of weeks.
Currently, we are still unable to estimate when the ČAV website will be fully functional. However, there is no point in reporting possible deficiencies to the administrator - we know about all of them and are working on their elimination."
