Excellent news - at least for those joining by dial-up through the lines of Slovak telecommunications to providers Nextra and Euroweb.

From June 1 to August 31 Slovak telecommunications offer free telephony for calls more than 3 minutes and less than 1 hour. Tariffing therefore stops after the third minute and starts again after the sixtieth minute. The offer can only be used during holidays and weekends for local and long distance calls.

The possibility of using this promotion for Internet calls was also confirmed for the SME daily by the spokesperson of Slovak Telecommunications, Radoslav Bielka: "The discount is not intended for calls to Internet services or calls to the public data network, in which the customer uses the prefix 019XY. However, if he uses a call to a subscriber number as a standard local or long-distance call to connect to the Internet, the discount is applied.” So how to do it?
You need to connect through the normal local number of your Internet provider. That means not 019XY, but the number according to the following table starting with the city code, then you pay for the connection in the length 3 to 60 minutes only three to five crowns, depending on the prepaid program and whether you connect via a local or long-distance number.

The table contains the local modem numbers of Euroweb and Nextra providers, other Internet providers provide this number to customers only on request or for service purposes, some not at all. Do not forget that the promotion is only valid on weekends and holidays - otherwise the amount of your bill can climb quite high.
