At the ongoing International Radiocommunication Conference 2015 in Geneva (WRC-15), it was decided on 18 November at the afternoon plenary that from 1/1/2017 a short 15kHz section in the 60m band will be allocated worldwide also the remaining regions IARU. Specifically between 5351.5 – 5366.5 kHz with a limited power of 15 W ERP (regions 1 and 3) and it will be a secondary service.
The 60m band can be used since 2003 in several other countries, such as the USA, Great Britain, Scandinavian countries and others with power between 15-25W ERP.) You can find more about the whole conference at /www.itu.int and about the newly allocated 60m band at www.iaru-r1.org.
