At the end of September, a new amateur radio beacon was officially commissioned in northeastern Poland SR4PZM, ktorý pracuje v pásme 2 metrov (144,450 MHz).
It serves as an important reference point for radio amateurs in the region and in neighboring countries dedicated to the VHF band and long-distance signal propagation.
The device was constructed on the basis of FTL-2011 a vysiela výkonom 8 W v móde A1A (CW). Počas testov je použitá dočasná antenna system 2 × 10 prvková yagi SP8BRQ, nasmerovaná na Azimut 290°, which allows effective coverage towards the west and southwest. After the tests, the lighthouse will be used všesmerovú anténu X-dipól s horizontálnou polarizáciou, ktorú navrhli a zhotovili Rafał SQ4O a Grzegorz SQ4G.
Technickú časť vysielacieho reťazca pripravil Andrzej SP8XXN, who is also the author of the construction of the lighthouse itself. The installation of the antenna system and final installation work on the roof was provided by the team from the SP4PZM club in Białystok.
The SR4PZM beacon was thus included among the modern Polish beacons, which contribute to a better understanding of the propagation conditions on the 144 MHz band and allow DX enthusiasts to verify the quality of the connection in real time. Thanks to its location and performance, it will be a useful signal for radio amateurs in Poland, the Baltic countries, Belarus, but also in parts of Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
