Date and course of the contest
The OM SSB contest takes place annually on the third Saturday in September from 04:00 to 06:00 UTC (i.e., 06:00 to 08:00 CEST). In 2026, this falls on September 19. The contest is divided into two separate one-hour stages. In each stage, it is allowed to establish only one valid QSO with the same station on each band. Connections are made with stations from OM and OK. The contest runs concurrently with the OK SSB contest, with connections with participants from the Czech part counted as full.
Frequency bands and modulation restrictions
Súťaží sa výhradne v pásmach 160 m a 80 m v nasledovných subpásmach pre fónickú prevádzku (SSB):

Contest code
The contest code is exchanged in the form: RS + sequential QSO number starting from 001 + three-letter district code (e.g., 59 001 BAC). In the log and when submitting, you must adhere to the exact syntax of the code; otherwise, the QSO will be invalid.
Evaluation and scoring of QSO
For each valid and verified connection, 1 point is counted. The connection is invalid if the log contains any error in the received call sign or submitted code (e.g., incorrect number or district).
Multipliers
A multiplier is each established district (OM and OK). Multipliers are counted on each band and in each stage separately. You can obtain one district a maximum of 4 times as a multiplier (1st stage 80 m, 2nd stage 80 m, 1st stage 160 m, 2nd stage 160 m). Your own district is not counted as a multiplier.
Overall result
The final score is calculated as the product of the total number of points earned for QSO and the sum of all multipliers.
Contest logs
Akceptujú sa výhradne denníky v štandardizovanom formáte Cabrillo. Log je potrebné odoslať najneskôr do 14 dní od skončenia pretekov prostredníctvom webového rozhrania na stránke Q.szr.sk (sekcia OM SSB preteky). Ak protistanica nepošle svoj denník (ani ako checklog), jej QSO vám bude uznané len vtedy, ak sa jej značka objaví minimálne v 5 iných odoslaných denníkoch.
