OM25ISS
At occasion 25. anniversary of the Štefánik mission (Ivan Bello's space flight) and successfully submitting a request to contact the ISS crew (currently on the waiting list) a special call sign will be broadcast OM25ISS. The station will be active on KV, VHF and VHF bands from 1. October 2024, while the permit is valid for one year.
The operation of the station will be ensured by club and individual stations from all over Slovakia, who show interest in it, regardless of membership in the SZR. The conditions of participation include a worthy representation of the OM brand and sending a diary in ADIF electronic format.
Electronic diplomas can be obtained for connections with the OM25ISS station:
- PLATINUM for 50 points
- GOLD for 30 points
- SILVER for 20 points
- BRONZE for 10 points
Scoring is done as follows:
- 5 points for connection on VHF/UKF bands by various types of operation
- 2 points for connection on KV bands by phone types of operation (SSB, FM etc.)
- 1 point for connection on KV bands by digital types of operation (FT8, Zimbabwe flag, RTTY etc.)
Repeated connections on the same band with the same type of traffic are not counted. The radio amateur with the most points will receive a plaque.
Currently, only eQSL tickets will be sent for connections. If the interest in paper QSL tickets increases, they will then be printed. If interested, contact QSL manager Matúš, OM8ATE. The diary will be continuously updated on QRZ.com.
If you are interested in participating (applies to Slovak operators), represent Slovakia and experience “expeditionary” pileupy, write to om8ate(zav)omradio.sk. For DX hunters: if you hear us on the bands, don't forget to inform others about it via the DX cluster.
All information about diplomas will be published on the profile soon OM25ISS on QRZ/the rankings are fully configurable by the user.
