OM8JOTA

On Saturday 19th of October 2024 18.októbra 2025 radio amateurs and scouts from all over the world will come together again as part of a traditional event Jamboree On The Air – JOTA a Jamboree On The Internet – JOTI. Slovenskí skauti sa aj tento rok zapoja do tejto celosvetovej akcie prostredníctvom špeciálnej stanice OM8JOTA.

Stanica bude v éteri od 11:00 do 14:00 UTC (teda 13:00 to 16:00 local time CEST) zo stanovišťa Košice – Heringeš, ktoré sa nachádza v lokátore KN08PR v nadmorskej výške približne 330 metrov.

Hlavný dôraz bude kladený na fonickú prevádzku (SSB)so that participants from the ranks of scouts can experience real communication via radio waves.

Planned bands and frequencies (SSB - phone):

• 80 m: 3.690 MHz

• 40 m: 7.182 MHz

• 20 m: 14.290 MHz

• 15 m: 21.360 MHz

• 2 m: 145.500 MHz (direct connection)

In addition, it will be possible to make contact also through prevádzača OM0OVT – „Téčko“ na frekvencii 145.650 MHz.

Digital communication will also not be missing on modern platforms. OM8JOTA will be available on the network DMR, konkrétne v talk groupe 2311 a v medzinárodnej skupine 907 JOTA.

There will also be an activity on satelite QO-100, vďaka čomu sa stanica OM8JOTA môže spojiť s rádioamatérmi a skautmi doslova z celého sveta.

The aim of the event is to allow young people from the scouting movement to experience the magic of long-distance communication, learn the principles of amateur radio, and establish new friendships across continents.

Všetci rádioamatéri sú srdečne pozvaní nadviazať spojenie s OM8JOTA during JOTA-JOTI 2024 and thus support the idea of cooperation and friendship over the air.
