Fifth stage SLP Competition 2018, held on July 14 and 15, brought significant changes to the running order and showed the strength of regular participants. In this stage, he worked his way to the top of the leaderboard Kees Schout (NL294) with an excellent score of 16,450 points, which significantly strengthened his lead in the overall ranking, where he reached 43,623 points. He finished in second place Helmut Grund (DE2HUG) with 5,724 points and just behind him Francois Conraux (F-80248) with 5,664 points. They also gave excellent performances Aleksandr Boyko (US-Q-2115) a Dusan Hanák (OK2-9329), who moved up in the annual ranking and confirmed their stable participation. At the same time, this stage emphasized the importance of each point, as even smaller gains can decide the final position.
