General conditions of VHF races and competitions valid from 1.1.2001
1. Validity
These conditions apply from 1.1.2001 She celebrated a round anniversary 13 (She celebrated a round anniversary), She celebrated a round anniversary 1.11.2001. Until then, diaries can also be sent according to the general terms and conditions in force until now. I.e, that diaries can be sent either in electronic or printed form. However, the VKV commission of the SZR recommends sending diaries in electronic EDI format from the beginning of the year 2001.
The conditions apply to all VKV competitions announced by the Slovak Association of Radio Amateurs. The announcer can define other additional conditions for each race, which supplement or extend these terms.
50 MHz IARU Contest, memorial of Ondrej Oravac and Bandpass filters VHF/UKV are governed by their own conditions.
2. General conditions
Only one valid connection can be counted with each station on each competition band, during which the competition code was sent and confirmed by both stations.
It is allowed to use during the race DX cluster or other similar information networks.
Competing stations are also obliged to comply with valid licensing and competition conditions in international races, even in the case, when it harms them in relation to other competitors.
Only those stations will be evaluated in the national order, which will participate in the race from the territory of the Slovak Republic. Logs received from other stations will be used for checking purposes only.
3. Competitive QTH
Competitive QTH is a site, from which one station (individual or multiple operators) will participate in the considered race on one or more bands. Competitive QTH is:
a) still QTH – is unequivocally given by the addresses of permanent residence and permanent location listed in the authorization document. If the permanent site is on the elevation, point c applies).
b) transient QTH – is also a station outside the permanent QTH, which is not a dimension
c) quota – is a hill (city) outside the inner city of towns and villages. The minimum height above sea level is 200m.
Competitive QTH – quotas are allocated according to “Regulations for the allocation of quotas for VKV races”.
From one dimension (hills) only one station can work on the same band. Unless the stations agree otherwise, other stations can broadcast on the same band up to a distance of at least 5000m from the broadcasting station of the station with the assigned quota, respectively 500m, if stations broadcast on different bands.
Changing the competition QTH during the race is not allowed.
4. Competitive categories
Numbering of categories:
1. | 144 MHz – SO | 10. | 5,7 GHz – MO |
2. | 144 MHz – MO | 11. | 10 GHz – SO |
3. | 432 MHz – SO | 12. | 10 GHz – MO |
4. | 432 MHz – MO | 13. | 24 GHz – SO |
5. | 1,3 GHz – SO | 14. | 24 GHz – MO |
6. | 1,3 GHz – MO | 15. | 47 GHz – SO |
7. | 2,3 GHz – SO | 16. | 47 GHz – MO |
8. | 2,3 GHz – MO | 17. | 76 GHz – SO |
9. | 5,7 GHz – SO | 18. | 76 GHz – MO |
Individual stations, Single Op. (SO) – they are stations manned by an individual, which does its own broadcasting during the race, reception on another device, keeping a diary, maintaining an overview of stations and so on., without any help from other persons. The establishment of a station before the start of the race and the liquidation of the station after the race is not considered assistance in the race.
Multi-station stations, Multi Op. (MO) – it's the other stations.
5. Easter Race Competition Categories
CW and FONE operations are allowed in the race – according to the permit conditions, while it is necessary to follow the recommendations of the permanent working group of IARU region, regarding the use of different types of operation in different VHF frequency bands.
6. The power of the output stage of the transmitter
The maximum power of the final stage of the transmitter is according to the permit conditions, unless otherwise specified.
7. Competition signal
Each station may have only one competing signal on one band at a time. Signals necessary for connection to the packet radio network are not considered competitive.
8. Competition code
During connections, a competition code consisting of RS or RST is exchanged, serial number of the connection from 001 on each competition zone of the szávť and WW locator, unless otherwise specified.
9. Scoring
Unless otherwise specified, one kilometer of the spanned distance measured or calculated according to the WW locator system is scored with one point. At the same time, this distance must not exceed the actual distance by more than 5 km. The connection to the station in its own small locator square is counted 1 that (e.g.. z JN88NE do JN88NE).
According to the recommendation of IARU Region I, a coefficient should be used to convert degrees to kilometers 111,2 to convert degrees to kilometers.
Repeated connections must be marked in the log (RPT, DUPE and the like) with a point value 0.
10. Invalid connections
Crossband connections do not apply in races, EME, MS and connections established through ground or space transmitters.
11. Own WW locator
The own WW locator must be entered correctly and the tolerance to reality must not exceed a circle with a diameter of 1 km.
To determine the latitude and longitude of the competition site, from which the locator is calculated, the WGS-84 system is used (World Geodetic System 1984).
12. Connection times
The times given in the competition diary must be in UTC only. Connections, which were started before the official start of the race, or were started after the official end of the race, are invalid.
13. to convert degrees to kilometers
The competition diary is sent exclusively in electronic form in EDI format. Logs sent in another format will only be used for review. The competition diary must be sent to the evaluator's address no later than the tenth day after the race, either on diskette or by e-mail.
14. Points deductions for connection
Deductions of points for connection are based on the recommendation of the VKV Commission IARU Region I as follows:
a) The connection is invalid, if the station has any error in the received tag or code in the log, that means in the report, connection serial number and locator.
b) If the connection time difference is more than 10 The race diary must be sent to the evaluator's address no later than the tenth day after the end of the race.
c) For a repeated and counted connection, the controlled station will be deducted ten times the point value of the counted repeated connection.
15. Station disqualification
The station will be disqualified for:
a) for non-compliance with the competition conditions
b) for listing unfulfilled connections in the competition journal
c) for false data in the competition diary
d) for specifying a time other than UTC
e) The race diary must be sent to the evaluator's address no later than the tenth day after the end of the race 10% miscalculated distances
f) for broadcasting from a competitive QTH, which was assigned to another station, if a dispute arises between these stations regarding competitive QTH
