The microwave race of OM stations in 2003 again brought interesting results and surprising successes. In the 1.3 GHz Single category, OM3BY/p did best, which with 39 QSO and the score of 9,277 points confirmed its excellent technique and stable operation. OM3ID finished second with 6,697 points and 40 QSOs, closely followed by OM5CM who scored 5,656 points with 26 QSOs, while his power was just 10W with 28el. G3JVL antenna.
In the Multi category on 1.3 GHz, OM9AZ dominated, although with a low number of QSOs, its efficient operation and accuracy were key. On 5.7 GHz, OM3ID dominated with 3 QSOs and 180 mW of power, which proves that even with minimal signal strength it is possible to compete effectively.
The highest score in 10 GHz Single was achieved by OM3LQ - 18,785 points with 53 QSOs, followed by OM3ID and OM3BH. A check of 132 newspapers from surrounding states confirmed the accuracy of the results. The race was evaluated by Milan/OM5KM and Palo/OM5CM.
