Joe Taylor, K1JT, released a new version of WSJT-X 2.4.0 with Q65 mod for download. This mode should be used for propagations where frequency fluctuations of more than a few Hz occur due to the Doppler effect. It is therefore primarily intended for DX connections on higher bands.
Q65 mode uses FSK with 65 tones. A tone for time and frequency synchronization is also included. It is clearly identifiable on the visual display of the reception spectrum. According to K1JT, the Q65 mode allows connections with medium-sized ones yagi anténami a 100W na 6m regulárne na vzdialenosť okolo 2000 km pri uzavretom pásme.
