List of VHF/VHF transmitters and beacons in Slovakia

The Slovak amateur radio community has a diverse network of transmitters and beacons that enable high-quality communication in the 2 m and 70 cm bands throughout the country. In the following article, we provide an overview of the currently available devices - we will present 17 Slovak transmitters on the 2 m band, four on 70 cm and four beacons. These transmitters are located in a variety of locations from low hills to mountain peaks, and their performance and altitudes greatly affect the range and quality of connections.

Converters in the 2 m band offer different outputs from 1 W to 25 W, while many of them are located at important geographical points such as Krížava, Krížna or Kamzík.

On the 70 cm band, there are four converters with different heights and power, which provide stable communication for regional and all-Slovak connections. In addition, there are also four beacons that allow monitoring the quality of transmission and testing antenna systems.
