Microwave competition 2005 confirmed the growing interest of Slovak radio amateurs in microwave bands and brought remarkable results across seven categories. Evaluation processed by Palo OM5CM from a total of 145 competing dailies from the states IARU Region 1, revealed the high technical level of the participants even with demanding ropes with minimal performance.
In the category 1.3 GHz Single dominated OM5CM with an impressive score of 8843 points and 41 QSO with an average distance of 215.7 km. He used only 10 W power and a 2x55el antenna system. F9FT, while ODX reached with the German station DK6AS at a distance of 721 km. They followed OM3ID with 4896 points and OM3CQF, which demonstrated an exceptional ability to operate at an extremely low power of 1 W.

In the multi category at 1.3 GHz, the station won supremely OM0C with 21188 points, 75 QSOs and ODX connection with the Italian station IK4ADE at a distance of 688 km. The second position was occupied by the dispatch station OM3RKP from Kráľová hole (KN08BV, 1948 m a.s.l.), which with a power of only 1 W and an 85 cm parabola reached 1842 points.
A technically advanced station dominated the higher bands OM0C, which won in the 2.3 GHz and 10 GHz Multi categories. The 10 GHz Single band also produced interesting results, where it prevailed OM3LQ with 10839 points and an ODX connection with the Italian station I4XCC at a distance of 678 km.
