EchoLink
EchoLink® software allows radio amateurs to communicate with each other over the Internet using VoIP (voice-over IP) technology. The program allows connections between stations around the world or from a computer to the station, which greatly contributes to a wide range of uses. There are currently more than 1 registered on Echolink 130.000 users in 150 countries of the world !
…For amateur amateurs with a valid license, the EchoLink® software opens up new possibilities for communication with other radio amateurs from all over the world. Your computer will connect you or your local converter to any of the thousands of HAM stations on the Internet.
There are several different ways, how to use EchoLink. You can set “simple line” for example, at home by connecting a VHF or UHF radio to a computer, thus enabling anyone within range of your station to communicate via EchoLink with any other station in the world.
Or you can just use a PC microphone, speakers and simply connect to almost any of more than 2,000 HAM converters in the world.
The program still refreshes the station list, which are currently connected in EchoLink. The list can be arranged according to what you want. You can also set an unlimited number “alarms” which will alert you, when the station connects, which you choose.
