Competition goal

Increase activity in the ether, strengthen the good name of radio amateurs, presentation and improvement of technical skills and knowledge of radio amateurs worldwide.

Date and time

Každoročne the third full weekend in January, od soboty 12:00 UTC do nedele 12:00 UTC.

V roku 2026: January 17 - 18.

Participants

Every radio amateur in the world who agrees to these competition conditions.

Bands

160 m, 80 m, 40 m, 20 m, 15 m and 10 m
in accordance with national licenses and band plans IARU regiónov.

• A1A – telegraphy (CW)

• A3J – telephony (SSB)

Single operator - one band (no power and mode restrictions)

• SOSB 10

• SOSB 15

Single operator - multiple bands

• SO3BAND – 3 bands of participant's choice, without power and mode restrictions

Single operator - all bands

• SOAB CW HP

• SOAB SSB HP

• SOAB MIX LP

• SOAB MIX QRP

Multi Operator

• MS MIX – multi-operator, all bands

Youth

• YOUTH12H MIX – single operator, all bands, without power restrictions

YOTA: according to IARU definition – operator aged do 25 rokov vrátane.

Maximum operating time: 12 hodín.
Breaks must last at least 60 minút.
A break longer than 60 minutes will nezapočítava do prevádzkového času.

Rules for Single Operator

• Allowed band and mode switching without time restrictions

• Vysielať je možné only one signal at a time

• All activities (logging, tuning, antenna control, etc.) are performed exclusively by the operator

Všetky uskutočnené QSO must be recorded in the log, regardless of the category.

V kategórii SO3BAND môžu byť QSO robené na všetkých pásmach, ale the three bands with the highest scores will be automatically evaluated.

Rules for Multi Operator (MS)

• Changing the RUN station band is allowed až po 10 minútach od prvého QSO na novom pásme

• If the stay on the band is shorter, QSO have 0 bodov a nepočítajú sa ako násobiče

MULT station:

• may work multipliers only on a different band than RUN

• must not call CQ

• if the QSO is not a multiplier, it has 0 bodov

V MS kategórii môžu vysielať a maximum of two signals simultaneously
(one RUN, one MULT).

Power classes

• QRP: up to 5 W

• LP: up to 100 W

• HP: more than 100 W

Competition contacts

Everyone can work with everyone.
Platí only the first QSO on the band so stanicou,
in MIX categories, one QSO in CW and one in SSB is allowed on the same band.

Exchanged code

• HA stanice: RS(T) + county abbreviation

• Ne-HA stanice: RS(T) + sequential serial number

The list of county abbreviations is provided in Appendix 1.

Scoring

• QSO with Hungarian station: 10 bodov

• QSO on the same continent: 2 body

• QSO on another continent: 5 bodov

/AM a /MM stanice majú vždy 2 body and do not count as multipliers.

Multipliers

• DXCC + WAE countries (except HA)

• Hungarian counties (list in the appendix)

Počítajú sa on every band, bez ohľadu na mód.

Result = sum of points × sum of multipliers

Uzávierka: 5 days after the end of the competition

Log checking

• Software and manual control

• Duplicate QSO without penalty

• Chybné QSO: -2× point value

Evaluation

Failure to comply with the rules or unsportsmanlike behavior may lead to disqualification.

Prohibited is e.g.:

• agreements off the air

• broadcasting outside the permitted bands

• QSO time adjustment

• unverifiable multipliers

Prizes

Certificates will be available for download.
Winners may receive additional prizes according to sponsors.

Other provisions

• The stations must be within 500 m

• X-QSOs are not penalized

• DX cluster and self-spotting are allowed

• Other assistance (including AI) is prohibited

• Stations competing for world/continental awards must provide audiozáznam

The committee's decision is final.
