I had a clear plan for Saturday - to go to Chata pod Solisko (1830 m, KN09AD) and participate in the 2nd sub-regional. So, for a newbie, I had a pretty decent score, and the technical equipment wasn't the worst either - TR-751E 25W, headset, foot switch, 9 and 4 el.yagi, 12 m mast, 2×15 m RG-213, laptop...

On March 18, I and six other students successfully passed the exams at the Technical University of the Slovak Republic. The next day, I was already sending a call sign assignment request. The TÚ SR is responsible for this action 30 days. If we count two days for the delivery of the letter to BA and two days back, plus we tolerate some delay due to holidays, the delivery date is no later than April 24. Today is the 2nd of May (8 days after the expected date) and the concession is nowhere - and the others are in the same situation...
In short – an ordinary person must comply with all the deadlines set by the authorities - apparently the authorities do not. I remember the torture Zdeno OK2ZW went through when he wanted to get a concession in Ghana - 9G5ZW. In two weeks however, he won it. What lessons should be learned from this? That you can get a concession easier in Accra than in Bratislava... And we say we want to go to the European Union...
