Holick Cup 2019

The Holický Cup is a traditional radio-matter competition that takes place every year in April. The competition is intended for individuals from stations OK, OL and OM, who compete with each other in the 80 meter band in CW and SSB modes.

Termín pretekov: Traditionally, the last Saturday in April at the time: from 06:00 to 08:00 SELČ (from 04:00 to 06:00 UTC)

Band 80 m:

• CW: 3520–3560 kHz
• SSB: 3600–3650 and 3700–3770 kHz

Type of operation:

• CW - Challenge: "HP TEST"
• SSB - challenge: "HOLLIC CUP CHALLENGE"

Categories:

• CW – up to 100 W, CW operation
• SSB – up to 100 W, SSB operation
• MIXED – up to 100 W, CW and SSB
• QRP – up to 5 W, CW and SSB
• SWL – listeners, both CW and SSB
• NOVICE – only for N license holders, up to 10 W, CW and SSB
• checklog - just for checking, it is not included in the competition

Follow up QSO:

• Spojenia sa nadväzujú only between OK/OL/OM stations.
• They can compete iba jednotlivci. Ak sa zúčastní klubová stanica, smie ju obsluhovať len jeden operátor.
• It is possible to follow up with each station iba jedno platné QSO. Duplicitné QSO sa nezapočítajú.
  • Duplicate QSOs can be made if requested by the other station, but will not be counted.
• QSOs can also be made in non-competing mode, but must be logged.
  • Only QSOs according to the category in which the station applied are included in the final score.

Contest code:

RS/RST + okresný znak (eg 599 LVC or 59 DDO).
List of district signs according to division valid until the end of 2001.

Scoring:

• 1 bod for each valid connection.
• 1 násobič for each unique district emblem.

Pri elektronickom denníku netreba do not count points or multipliers - they are evaluated automatically.

Result = (number of points) × (number of multipliers)

Rules for SWL:

1 point is counted for each properly recorded QSO.
If both sold codes are recorded, it is about dva samostatné záznamy – každý na samostatnom riadku denníka.
The maximum can be obtained for a complete connection 2 body a 2 násobiče.

Diaries:

• Elektronický denník je povinný for everyone who uses a computer.
• Preferred format: Cabrillo 2.0 alebo 3.0
• If you use another format (.txt, .xls/.xlsx, .doc/.docx), also attach the file volaci_znak.sum
  (e.g. ok9abc.sum) with a summary.
• Paper diaries are nedoporučené, iba ak nie je iná možnosť.

⚠️ Logs outside the Cabrillo format may not be processed or entered into the contest.

🗓 Uzávierka: Denníky musia byť doručené within 14 days after the end of the race.

Evaluation:

• QSOs with errors (wrongly written marks or codes) nebudú uznané.
• Stations without diary:
  • Ak s nimi spojenie uskutočnia at least 3 competing stations, QSO sa započíta.
  • Less than 3 - QSO sa nezapočíta.
• The maximum time deviation in the write-up is 5 minút.
• In case of equality of points, the number of connections in the first 20, or 40 or 60 minutes decides.

Awards and diplomas:

• Diplom a výsledkovú listinu will be obtained by any station that requests them.
• The winner of the category will receive malý Holický pohár.
• The station with the highest number of points overall will receive veľký putovný Holický pohár na 1 rok.
• Material prices:
  • 1. place - 1500 CZK
  • 2. place – 1000 CZK
  • 3. place – 500 CZK

🏆 If the same station wins tri ročníky po sebe, putovný pohár jej ostáva natrvalo.

Disqualification:

Violations of the rules, unsportsmanlike conduct or a large number of unverifiable connections may lead to disqualification.
