next weekend 27 July from 12.00 UTC to 28 July 12.00 UTC takes place IOTA contest 2013. IOTA stations and all other stations compete. Competition takes place in the 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m bands, while the stations must follow the recommendations IARU pre contestovú prevádzku (nesmie sa vysielať v segmentoch 3500-3510, 3560 – 3600, 3650 – 3700, 14060 – 14125 a 14300 – 14350kHz).

IOTA contest je vyhlásený v týchto kategóriách:
Destination:
- Iceland (island) – stations working from the IOTA islands with an assigned IOTA ref. number
- World - other stations
Operator:
- Single Operator
- Single-Operator Assisted (allowed DX cluster, remote RX stations, etc.)
- Island Multi-Operator (iba 24hod MIX). Operátori môžu používat max.2 stanice, druhá stanica môže robiť len násobiče, nesmie volat výzvu alebo QRZ. Obmedzený je aj počet zmien pásma/módu na 6-krát v každej celej hodine. Povolený DX cluster a internet

Time:
- 24 hours
- 12 hours – operation does not have to last 12 hours continuously, but breaks must last at least 60 minutes)
Mode:
- CW
- SSB
- MIX
Performance:
- High power - maximum 1500W out
- Low power - maximum 100W out
- QRP – maximum 5W out
Competition code
RS(T) + connection sequence number from 001 + (IOTA station) IOTA number
The serial number is sold continuously regardless of mode. One CW and one SSB connection can be established with one station on one band.

Scoring for QTH OK/OM
- QSO with a non-IOTA station – 2 points
- QSO with an IOTA station – 15 points. The exception is the Iceland-Iceland connection of stations working from the island with the same ref. number, in which case 3 points are counted.

The sum of points for connections from all bands times the total sum of multipliers
