dear friends,
on 18–19 On October 10, 2003, the 46th year of the international scout event will take place Jamboree On The Air (JOTA), which is attended annually by more than half a million scouts from all corners of the world. In principle, it is a classic jamboree, the goal of which is to unite girl scouts and boy scouts, nations and cultures and to enable mutual exchange of scouting ideas, cultural, geographical and other knowledge and experiences. The effort is for anyone to come to an agreement with anyone, using the world languages that young people are learning intensively today. It is therefore an entertainment and educational event with significance for the whole world. Regardless of race, gender, religion or political affiliation, it unites male and female scouts around the world.

Amateur radio serves as a means of communication. In practice, it looks like the scouts visit the radio amateur at home or he comes to them in the clubhouse. He will demonstrate their work on the band and allow them to broadcast under his supervision and with the + /J mark (authorized by ČTÚ). Can be transmitted by all types of traffic on all bands according to the class of the supervising operator (max. C). JOTA takes place from Saturday 00:01 to Sunday 23:59 local time, while on Saturday at 14:00 there is a meeting of Czech JOTA stations on the 2 m band.
I hereby cordially invite you to the event and wish you good luck in establishing connections. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
Best regards and 73!
