Special brands OL900CO, OL900JAR and OL900LTV
On the occasion of the anniversary, the organizers have activated several special stations, among which the brands OL900CO, OL900JAR and OL900LTV dominate. In addition to them, several other Czech amateur radio stations (OK1CO, OK1FCB, OK1KT, OK1LTV, OK1VH, OK5DN and OK5LR) are also participating in the program, which will be active on various bands and modes during 2026.
Operation will last until December 2026. Radio amateurs will have enough time to include these stations in their logs and gradually collect the conditions necessary to obtain jubilee diplomas.
The selection of special signs refers to the historical significance of Jaroměře and at the same time creates an attractive destination for DX operators, diploma hunters and collectors of special event connections.
Four levels of diplomas for radio amateurs and SWL
On the occasion of the anniversary, the organizers have also prepared an extensive diploma program. Radio amateurs can receive four levels of electronic diplomas for contacts with participating stations:
- bronze diploma,
- silver diploma,
- gold diploma,
- platinum diploma.
The requirements for obtaining each level vary depending on the number of connections made and brands involved. The program is designed to motivate operators to regularly monitor activities throughout the year.
A big plus is that the diploma program is not only intended for broadcasting radio amateurs. SWL listeners can also participate in the activity, who can also collect confirmations and generate diplomas based on the connections they have received.
Electronic diplomas and online QSL generation
Modern amateur radio is increasingly moving into the digital space, and the anniversary activity in Jaroměř is no exception. The organizers have prepared a system for automatically generating electronic diplomas and QSL confirmations via the hamawards.eu portal.
On the website, operators can continuously check the fulfilled conditions, generate diplomas and obtain electronic confirmations of connections. Such a system significantly simplifies administration and at the same time allows immediate access to the awards obtained.
The electronic form of diplomas is becoming the standard for most modern amateur radio activities. In addition to the ecological aspect, it also brings faster processing and easier archiving of results.
Jaroměř as an interesting destination for amateur radio activities
Jaroměř is one of the historically significant cities in East Bohemia. Its rich history, fortified buildings, and strategic location create an interesting combination of regional history and amateur radio tradition.
Similar anniversary activities have a long tradition in the amateur radio world. Special markings for important anniversaries of cities, historical events or technical anniversaries are popular not only among domestic operators, but also among foreign diploma hunters.
The activity marking the 900th anniversary of Jaroměř also helps promote the city in the international amateur radio space. Associations with Czech special brands will appear in the logos of thousands of radio amateurs around the world, raising awareness of the history and cultural significance of the region.
