I decided to write the following lines about five years ago. In the end, however, I did not let my impatience get the better of me and continued the sometimes tiring monthly cycle of collecting, sorting, sometimes checking, but always writing down the results in the result sheets (trying to have as few errors as possible).
However, when I started writing the magic number XX (= 20th year) in the header of the list last year, I started again to review and evaluate all the PROS and CONS in relation to all domestic (= OK/OM) CW races and activities. I also considered the participants' approach to honesty when declaring the results, sending them, sending the requested logs for checking, etc. If I think it is appropriate and necessary to elaborate on some observations and findings, I will do so here.
So my firm decision is to END as announcer and organizer of the KVPA this activity in the last round of this (= 20th) year 2009/2010 (= June 2010).
Thank you for the first reactions (OK5MM, OK1DDQ, OK2FR, OM8FF, OK1RR) to my stated decision. Among other things:
- OK2CQR would be interested in continuing such activity after the change of propositions...
- OK1NE would also like to continue such activity…
Gentlemen, I have nothing against it at all, come to an agreement between yourselves, I don't want to forward you everything related to it. Of course, I will gladly and unselfishly present all necessary new information, links, etc. on the existing website. for the eventual problem-free continuation of the successor activity or race!
