The Delta Aquarids are a minor swarm that persists from July 12 to August 19, peaking around July 29, 2003 06:20 UTC +/-12 hours. The maximum number of reflections per hour is 15-20. The best time for connections in the SW-NE direction is 23-00 UTC, in the E-W direction 00-02 UTC and in the SE-NW direction it is 02-04 UTC. At the end of July, the influence of the Perseids can already be felt.

The Perseids are a much more prominent swarm that allows connections to be established even with low power. We expect them to start on July 17 and end on August 24, and they are expected to reach their maximum on August 13, 05.10 +/- 3 hours. The number of reflections changes every year, there are often more than 80, some years it even reaches 200.
The first mention of it is attributed to the Chinese annals, which in the year 36 speak of "more than a hundred falling meteors one morning." They certainly won't disappoint visual observers either, they always provide a spectacular show.
Meteors move at high speed (up to 59.4 km/s). Every year, a large number of stations from all over Europe are active during the Perseids. The most suitable times for connections in the SW-NW direction 07-12 UTC, in the E-W direction 12-20 UTC and SE-NW 20-02.
