Telekomunikačný úrad Slovenskej republiky (TÚ SR), v súvislosti s blížiacimi sa majstrovstvami sveta v ľadovom hokeji, ponúka držiteľom rádioamatérskych povolení možnosť vysielať s príležitostnými volacími znakmi napr. OM1 až 0 IIHF, OM1 až 0 SZLH, or with other suitable ones. In the opinion of TÚ SR, this is a good opportunity to promote the World Championships in Slovakia, amateur radio broadcasting and, last but not least, the Slovak Republic. Holders of valid permits can request the allocation of an occasional call sign from the Slovak Technical Service by completing and delivering the prescribed application, to which they attach a stamp worth 3 euros.
