Preserve the idea of OTC SARA
Radio Club Barbakan emphasizes the importance of the idea of connecting amateur radio operators with more than 20 years of experience in its response. According to the representatives of the radio club, this idea is significant, and it would be a shame to let the tradition of OTC SARA fade away.
The impetus for the response was also the situation after the departure of the long-term president Villa, OM3CAQ, and other members, which according to the authors of the response put OTC SARA in a challenging situation.
Barbakan offers people for the leadership of OTC
Radio Club Barbakan OM3KXT declares its readiness to help practically as well. From its own ranks, it is prepared to provide people for all missing positions in the OTC Council so that the club can continue its activities.
It also emphasizes that the goal is not to make drastic changes or disrupt established traditions. The intention is to build on what OTC SARA has done over the years of its existence.
Planned modernization of the statutes
One of the planned changes is the modernization of the statutes of OTC SARA from 2009. Radio Club Barbakan states that the original statutes no longer fully meet current needs and complicate the practical operation of the club.
An important part of the proposal is the preservation of free membership. The Barbakan Radio Club does not plan to introduce membership fees so that membership in OTC remains accessible without financial or administrative burden.
A call to current and new members
To restore communication and create an up-to-date list of the membership base, the Barbakan Radio Club is reaching out to current OTC members with a request to update their contact information. This primarily concerns the callsign, name, and email or phone.
New radio amateurs who meet the condition of 20 years from obtaining their first license and wish to support the club's idea can also apply to OTC SARA.
