Preliminary results CQ WPX SSB Contest 2026: Slováci a Česi na popredných priečkach
The world of amateur radio came alive again with one of the most popular races of the year - CQ WPX SSB Contest 2026.
World top and absolute records
V kategórii Single-Op All Bands High Power kraľuje stanica CQ9A (op. EW6W) with a staggering score of over 27 million points. Stations from South America and the Caribbean were placed just behind it, which confirms the excellent conditions for signal propagation in these areas. In the category of multiple operators (Multi-Multi), the station absolutely dominated CN3A s astronomickým výsledkom presahujúcim 111 miliónov bodov.

Detailed view of individual bands

Upper bands (10m – 20m)
Na 15 metroch sa darilo stanici OM5R (op. OM5DX), ktorá v silnej konkurencii High Power obsadila vynikajúce 10. miesto in the world with a gain of 4,146,710 points. The upper bands were full of stations from South America this year (PT5J, D4C), but the European stations were able to come in second thanks to excellent antenna systems.
Lower bands (40m – 160m)
Tu sa „našinci“ doslova utrhli z reťaze. V kategórii 80m Low Power stations from our region occupied almost the entire first half of the top ten. Except the winning one OK6T sa na 4. mieste umiestnil OM0A (682 410 b.) a na 6. mieste OM0CS (350 924 b.).
An even more pronounced dominance occurred on 160 metroch, kde v kategórii Low Power obsadili české stanice prvé dve miesta (OK1K a OK4R). Je to dôkazom nielen technickej vyspelosti, ale aj vytrvalosti operátorov počas náročných nočných smien.

Multiple operators and special categories
V kategórii Multi-Single High Power vybojovala stanica OK5Z skvelé 6. miesto (13,5 mil. bodov). V kategórii Multi-Two (dvaja vysielače) sa slovenský tím OM7M he fought his way to 6th place in the world with a score of over 27.6 million points, thus confirming his stable belonging to the world elite.
Za zmienku stojí aj kategória Rookie (nováčikovia), kde stanica OM8A (op. OM2ADM) reached a fantastic 2nd place in the world. This is an excellent promise for the future of Slovak amateur radio sports.
Note: Tieto výsledky sú predbežné a vychádzajú z nahlásených denníkov. Finálne poradie sa môže zmeniť po procese krížovej kontroly (log-checking), kedy budú odpočítané chyby a neoverené spojenia. Napriek tomu sú súčasné pozície OM a OK staníc vynikajúcim úspechom.

In the SO AB HP category, no one from OM/OK made a serious result?

So no one from OM got into the top ten in the world. Of course, the results of Joža OM3GI, Riša IS0JHQ (OM2TW) and Adam OM2ADM are great, but they did not make it to the TOP10 in the world and therefore are not directly in the overview. At the end of the article there is a link that leads to an overview of all stations.
Vila, you are comparing pears with nuts. If someone in SO AB HP in 36 hours does approximately the same as M/S in 48 hours, then his result is probably more valuable than the result of e.g. in M/S.
In addition, there is an entire elite in SO AB and the competition there is many times greater than in the categories of e.g. 80 or e.g. 160m and also QRP. There, hopefully everyone can make it to the TOP TEN in the world.
Rasťo, nečítaš s porozumením. V článku nie sú výsledky OM SO AB HP mentioned because they are not in the TOP10 in the world. Don't look for any other reason in it.
But I would like it if you would not disparage the results of QRP stations. Thank you
