It is a very dense meteor shower with a relatively short maximum. The swarm will be active from January 1 to 9, 2020. It consists mainly of larger meteorites moving at a slower speed of 41 km/s (compared to other meteor showers). The number of reflections is very high 120 (60-200 reflections/hour). Predicting the Quadrantid maximum is very difficult and rarely accurate. However, it is expected on the morning of January 4 at 6.00 UTC and the latitude (the time when ZHR is >50%) is about 6 hours.

The most suitable times for connections in the axes: NE - SW 10 to 15 UT, E - W are not, NW - SE 24 to 04 UT and S - S 01 to 05 and 10 to 13 UT. Good luck and nice connections!
