Record connection on AO-7

Luciano PY5LF and Joe K3SZH moved the distance covered via the AO-7 satellite to 7843 km. The connection was made on July 15. Theoretically, AO-7 allows to reach a connection at a distance of approximately 7900 km (the exact number depends on several parameters, e.g. the roundness of the Earth). However, achieving a connection over such a distance requires experience, patience, equipment and a bit of luck. However, the oldtimer AO-7 still works great, so why not try it too?
