Registration for the 34th EME and MW seminar 2026

The OK VHF club is organizing the 34th EME and microwave seminarwhich traditionally takes place at the balloon hotel Radešín. This year the date is exceptional - instead of the usual spring event, the seminar is moved to the autumn date, specifically from October 16 to 18, 2026. The change is related to the hotel occupancy in the spring months; the organizers, Franta OK1CA and Zdeněk OK1DFC, also confirm that the spring date for 2027 is reserved in advance.

When does registration for the EME and MW seminar 2026 start

The registration form will be available from August 2026 directly on the pages OK VHF clubInterested parties wishing to participate in the seminar, especially those planning to utilize the measurement options of their devices during the Saturday program, should monitor this page and register as soon as possible, as some measurements (for example, on the 47 GHz band with a power of up to 100 W) require prior mention directly in the application. What is the content of the seminar

Program je rozdelený do troch dní. Piatok 16. októbra je vyhradený na príjazd, registráciu, večeru a neformálne diskusie (15:00–20:00). Jadro odborného programu prebieha v sobotu 17. októbra – po raňajkách nasleduje slávnostné otvorenie s odovzdaním pohárov a diplomov za Majstrovstvá ČR 2025, prednáška „Čo nové v EME za rok 2025″ od Franta OK1CA a pripomienka 50. výročia prvého EME QSO na 432 MHz u OK1KIR. Popoludní zaujme najmä referát Zdeňka OK1DFC o prvom EME QSO na 47 GHz a testoch EME na 76 GHz – oblasti, ktorá je pre európske pomery stále pionierska. Sobotný program uzatvára diskusia s výsledkami meraní a výmenou skúseností, nedeľa 18. októbra je vyhradená na voľný program a odjazd, s uvoľnením izieb do 10:00.

Part of Saturday also includes a wide range of measurement options for designers. Measurement of PSV antennas and loads is available in the range of 25 MHz to 18 GHz. The noise figure can be measured from 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz, with measurements above 1.6 GHz being made exclusively through its own transceiver as an intermediate frequency. Power measurement is available up to 50 GHz – in the 1–6 GHz band with flow attenuation R&S (maximum load 1 kW, attenuation 40 dB), at 10 GHz with a load of 100 W and waveguides WR90/WR75, at 24 and 47 GHz also with a load of 100 W and waveguides WR42/WR22. The spectrum analyzer covers the rangeup to 26.5 GHz, measurement up to 100 GHz is possible upon special request. Standard available connectors are N, SMA, and 7/16, from waveguides R100, R120, and R220 (WR75, WR90, WR42, WR22) – for other terminations, the participant must arrange the reduction themselves.

Measurement at 47 GHz up to 100 W using WR22 waveguide is available upon prior submission of this request directly in the registration application.

Date for 2027

The organizers already confirm that the traditional spring date of the seminar in Radešín is reserved for 2027 - the autumn event in 2026 is therefore an exception forced by hotel occupancy, not a change in the long-term concept of the event. Some presentations from the seminar will be available for download in the Files section on the vhf.cz website after its conclusion.

34. The EME and microwave seminar remains one of the few events in Central Europe that combines a professional program dedicated to EME operation with a practical opportunity to have your own equipment measured up to the 100 GHz band. Those who wish to participate should monitor the vhf.cz website from August 2026 when registration opens.
