Results of the 5th stage of SLP 2013

Analysis of the results of the 5th stage of the SLP, which took place on 22-23 June 2013, brought further confirmation of the dominance of the most successful listeners of the entire season. This stage was also won by Jan Mandos (NL997), who scored 40,872 points. Although his result is slightly lower compared to the previous rounds, it still represents a significant lead over the competition. Mandos thus continues to consolidate its first place in the overall ranking, where it already has 230,753 points after five stages. His performances are consistent and clearly indicate that he is heading for a significant overall victory.

Slovakian student Jozef Marcincak (OM3-0001) finished second in the 5th stage, who scored 3,042 points. This result helped him move to fourth place in the interim ranking with a total of 34,634 points. Marcincak performs steadily, but his point gains are significantly lower than those of the leading three competitors, which is also reflected in the overall ranking.

Third place belonged to Johan Heus (NL9723) with 1,972 points. Heus's involvement in the competition has been inconspicuous but stable for a long time. In the overall rating, this performance ensured him a continuous fifth place with 17,310 points. Fourth place in this stage went to Marc Stinkens (ONL4638) who scored 1,600 points. In the year-round standings, he moved to seventh place, when he already has 11,968 points.

It is also worth mentioning the drop in the table for Vladimir Ignatov (R3A-847), who did not score any points in this stage. However, he remains in second place overall with 172,918 points. His position is still relatively solid, but the dropout could complicate the fight for the overall championship if leader Mandos continues at the established pace.

A similar situation occurred with other contestants who did not score at this stage, which allowed the active listeners to make a slight shift in the overall rating. Thus, the fifth round confirmed not only the dominance of NL997, but also the importance of regular participation, which remains crucial in a long-term competition such as the SLP Competition.
