About the Upcoming expedition to the island of Palau the first information has leaked a few weeks ago. From March 4 to 19, 2026, a Czech expedition will be active from the exotic archipelago of Palau under the call sign T8OK. Tím tvoria skúsení operátori OK1BOA, OK3RM, OK6DJ a OK2ZA, ktorých na ceste do Mikronézie sprevádzajú Jana a Tom.
Operations are planned on all HF bands from 160m to 10m, with operators not forgetting the 'magic' 6m band. The station will operate a wide range of modes including CW, SSB, RTTY a populárneho digitálneho módu FT8, čo zaručuje dostupnosť pre lovcov vzácnych spojení po celom svete.
QSL the manager is OK6DJ and the main channel for confirming connections will be OQRS systém cez Clublog. For donors, there will be LoTW aktualizované každých sedem dní, zatiaľ čo kompletný verejný upload denníka prebehne po šiestich mesiacoch. Direkt QSL vyžaduje príspevok minimálne 4 USD. Papierové lístky cez rádioamatérsky bunk (Buro) budú zasielané s odstupom 18 mesiacov. Operátori dôrazne varujú: neposielajte žiadne digitálne QSL e-mailom, pretože budú automaticky vymazané. Podpora expedície formou darov (Donate) je vítaná a pomôže pokryť logistické náklady tejto náročnej cesty.
