Astronauts from the ISS will launch the strangest satellite ever on February 3rd! It will be an empty spacesuit that is used for outings into the open cosmos. Inside there are built-in batteries with a lifespan of about 3-4 days and an FM radio that will broadcast on 145.990 MHz. The radio will transmit at 30-second intervals and repeat, "This is SuitSat-1, RS0RS," followed by a greeting in five languages that will include "special words." On the NASA website, they say that there will be some awards for recordings and deciphering words. The broadcast will also be followed by a short one SSTV session.

you will find more information, as well as a link to track the appearance of the "satellite" above our heads. The times come out quite interesting - morning hours between 5-6am local time. So let's stand up and listen.
