Icom at the exhibition JARL Ham Fair 2026 (29.–30. augusta) oficiálne predstavil nový all-mode transceiver IC-7110, which builds on the successful concept of the popular IC-7100. Before the official announcement, the device was known for a long time under the internal code name X-026, under which it also appeared in the distribution systems of dealers like WiMo. The IC-7110 retains the two-part construction of its predecessor – a separate front panel and main unit – but inside it brings modern SDR architecture, a color display with touch control, and expanded connectivity.

Key features of Icom IC-7110
The IC-7110 covers bands HF, 50 MHz, 144 MHz, and 430/440 MHz in all common operating modes. The European version also includes the 70 MHz band (4 m). The device utilizes direct sampling architecture in combination with a superheterodyne receiver. Control is provided by a 4.3-inch color touchscreen with automatic dimming, supplemented by backlit physical controls.
Among other equipment, there is a microSD card slot, GPS, dual-band WiFi, Ethernet connection, Bluetooth version 5.3, and a USB-C port. The transceiver also includes a voice synthesizer, voice recorder, and VOX function. Power is supplied via a standard 4-pin connector at 13.8 V DC, and the antenna connector is of the SO-239 type with an impedance of 50 Ω, with the main unit having two such connectors. The memory system offers 500 regular channels with alphanumeric designations, 4 calling channels, and 2500 repeater channels. Frequency tuning is possible up tostep 1 Hz.

Dualwatch for HF/VHF and VHF/HF
One of the key features of the IC-7110 is the architecture with independent dual receivers. The radio allows simultaneous monitoring of two different signals on different bands, including a combination of HF and VHF, which allows for awareness of two separate operating environments at once. Simple configuration for FT8
Among the main features that Icom explicitly highlighted when introducing the IC-7110 is the simple setup for operation in FT8 mode (Simple Configuration for FT8 Operation). The device includes preset profiles for data modes (data mode presets), which facilitate quick deployment of digital operations without complicated manual adjustments of levels and ports.

Spectroscope and waterfall in real time
IC-7110 combines SDR technology with a high-resolution color display that shows a spectroscope and waterfall display in real time. The graphical interface makes it easier to identify signals and activity around the operating frequency and provides an instant overview of the radio environment of the band. It also includes an audio scope for visualizing the audio signal.
CW decoder
The radio station is equipped with a built-in decoder for CW and RTTY modes that can convert the received signal directly into text displayed on the screen, without the need for an external decoder or computer.
D-STAR features
IC-7110 provides comprehensive support for the D-STAR digital mode (Comprehensive D-STAR Functionality), including terminal/access point mode and DR (D-STAR Repeater) functionality. The integrated D-STAR support allows access to Icom's digital amateur radio ecosystem and combines conventional analog modes with digital voice communication in one device.
