A call for more activity
The logs from previous years show that a significant number of Polish stations make QSOs only with SN7L. In addition, many broadcast from places that are very close to each other. The organizers therefore encourage everyone to be more active, to establish connections with other stations and to record these connections in the online log generator, in which up to 60 QSOs can be recorded. Common frequency for SP stations
To make it easier to find each other on the air, the organizers propose a common frequency of 144.303 MHz. The goal is to make it a place where even smaller SP stations can call CQ and be sure someone will answer them - regardless of whether they use horizontal or vertical polarization.
Logging software and main working frequency
For those who plan to compete hard and make as many QSOs as possible, SN7L recommends the proven Tucnak logging program. The team itself will be active on 144.180 MHz during the race. The race starts on Saturday 6 September at 16:00 local time (14:00 UTC) and ends at the same time on Sunday 7 September.
Antennas ready for Poland
SN7L will use up to five antenna systems, one of which will be continuously pointed at Poland. It will be a Cross yagi, so even stations with vertical polarization will have a chance for a successful connection. Experience from past years shows that QSOs were also achieved with the X-200 antenna and 25 W power at a distance of 300–400 km. So if you have a similar set-up, the team cordially invites you to a trial connection before and, of course, during the race.
Technical tests and invitation for all
The first technical tests are planned for the Thursday or Friday before the race, depending on the current weather. The organizers ask that you forward this information to every station from SP that has equipment for 2m SSB or CW. Aj FT-857 with a simple vertical antenna it can do great things - and a QSO from Sněžka can be a nice experience.
The SN7L team believes that more than 400 Polish connections will reach their log and that the 2m band will be very busy during the race.
That will be "grease". National managers have been complaining about the hamspirit of the SN7L station for about 3-4 years. They have e.g. approx. 8-10 SP stations in a row from one locator. Many 100-200 SP stations made only one connection to SN7L. Well, we'll see.
Je to ich marketing. Tak ako DAxHQ robieva množstvo DL staníc v IARU HF World Championship-e, tak aj oni sa zameriavajú na toto. Pritom si s tým dajú námahu – propagujú, umožňujú zapísať QSO online, používajú aj vertikálnu anténu. Vyzývajú aj k urobeniu iných spojení, nielen s SN7L. Veď takúto možnosť má aj OM stanica. Neskúsi to niekto?

Ja , and others whether from I, OE,OZ,HA,S5,... point to it. Station SN7L did not violate anything, and there is no reason to punish it according to the current rules, and no one did. The fact that 8-10 stations call it in the middle of the night from one locator is remarkable and not serious from these stations, we can probably agree on that. After all, it is not normal for e.g. to appear in the diary. 150 stations, (which is maybe 15% of all connections) and they only make one connection.:-))

It's like in real life. Someone steals something, embezzles, and nothing happens. It's immoral, but according to the law. :-)))
I have pointed out this malpractice of SN7L last year after final scores and logs were available to the public. Too much unique qsos with 001 exchanged. This kind of marketing enhancing SP stations only sends me a message that I am not important. For me it is +770 km but I will gladly miss them.
What is next? Paying for the qso? Bonus for contacts from 01-05 UTC when traffic is slow? Maybe I should charge 1 cent per km?
Sorry, no respect for this malpractice by me.
SN7L could be great without this as well. This way for them this might turn into SP VHF contest only.
PS – I forgot to say: SN7L team has a great location, great hardware managed by great operators and this escapade was totally unnecessary.
