I flew out of Bratislava airport for this year's vacation. I experienced a complication with radios PMR. After returning, I sent the following email to the airport:
Ing. Ivan Haba Školská 191/25 95801 Partizánske
Hello.
Do not consider this email as a complaint, but as a request for information.
On 22.6. I went on vacation. I had a camera, camera, mobile phone and two PMR radio stations in my hand luggage. These are designated as public and you do not need to have any documents to use them. All subjects were released without objection, except for the radio stations. I was informed that I can't take these on the plane in hand luggage, but only hand them in on the "scale" like other luggage, but even with the batteries removed. Passengers receive information on what they may and may not take with them into the cabin. However, I couldn't find any mention of PMR stations anywhere, and even the control worker couldn't tell me why he was doing this. In the end, the matter ended successfully, I bought another bag and put one more piece of luggage on the scale. I will also post your answer on radio amateur sites, as it is assumed that mainly radio amateurs travel with PMR and other radios. Thank you for your reply
Ing. Hell
Until 25.7. I didn't get any answer, so I complained about whether my question was too complicated or whether I sent it to the right place.
The next day I received this reply:

Due to the problems with the transport of walkie-talkies that arose at our airport, we decided mainly for the sake of mothers who carried children's walkie-talkies, that we will allow our passengers to carry walkie-talkies with a warning that they may not be used on board. But for trouble-free transportation, it is easier to store them in your checked baggage.

I consider the answer very nice, even if it does not answer the questions asked. I also did not find any indication that they were apologizing for the complications caused.
