For the organizers
Thank you for the high-quality participation in the anniversary year (fifth OL Party, 50 years since the first OL license was issued). As can be seen in the results sheet, quite a decent number of connections can be made. On the other hand, it is also necessary to listen really well - not all of them produce strong signals, so the performance of your own transmitter and a high-quality antenna alone do not guarantee the result. Stations that did not hesitate to start with QRP či anténou – kúskom drôtu z okna, prípadne zo vzdialených lokalít, si zaslúžia uznanie za účasť, aj keď im bolo dopredu jasné, že nemajú šancu na umiestnenie. Ale práve ony robia závod atraktívnym, a nie iba „bzučiakovou disciplínou“, kde sú všetky signály 599.
Nanešťastie, mnohí (zväčša márne) zápasia doma s rôznymi zdrojmi rušenia, čo je veľký hendikep – a tiež jedna z chorôb, ktorá sa ďalej šíri a s ktorou musí väčšina z nás bojovať. QTH without QRM today is a godsend, unfortunately. We hope that the person who was looking for old friends found at least some of them on the band and that they managed to exchange some kind words in addition to the report during the connection. The statistics showed that a total of 96 former OL operators have participated in this event so far.
So - will they be heard at OL Party 2014?!
